THE BONZA
The BONZA
Introducing the revolutionary BONZA built by hand by Turner Motorbikes.
This prototype electric motorbikes is the latest development from Turner Motorbikes. for the last 2 years we have been in research and development on a testbed for Turner Motorbikes blending our hand craftsmanship with the latest high power electric moto tech.
We were so greatful to unveil this bike to the world at the ONE MOTO Show 2025 in Portland.
"Bonza" means awesome or first rate, it's the feeling of having a wide open schedule on a clear and sunny day. That's a Bonza day for a ride.
We took that notion, and build a high power electric motorbike capable of seizing that day. With a massive 72 Volt 58.8 Amp Hour Lithium battery pack to power your adventure the Bonza is capable of crushing 75 miles of real world range.
You are transported on a custom designed 4130 chromoly frame with wide wheelbase giving you rock solid stability at speed. With a comfortable locally made leather seat and hand formed removable storage tank the design is reminiscent of the classic enduro and small displacement cafe bikes of the 70s.
We love the idea of bikes that are customizable so we built the motor mounting points to fit the major emoto upgrade motors. FItting the QS165 Stock allows for a ton of options and motor controller configurations.
We are glad to be able to support others small American manufacturers in the space and spec components on the bike like the sprockets and disk rotors from Warp9, ultra wide footpegs from Prickly, Maven brakes from Sram, and partner with local craftsman to create an unparalleled ride with premium quality components.
Cheers to all you who ride electric motorbikes. A group of enthusiastic weirdos who see the future and want to Go Fast, No Gas. The Bonza is built with us in mind. Built by hand in Oregon. Reserve your place to get one of the first 20 produced. $500 refundable deposit secures your place in line. Target Bonza MSRP $8999

Custom 4130 Chromoly steel
Frame
Steel is real or so they say, and we use 4130 Chromoly steel to build the Bonza Frame. Designed and fabricated in house we make a high power Emoto frame unlike any other out there. Made integrating the best design features of classic motorbikes we have synthesized a design that we feel makes excellent use of contemporary Emoto components while still emulating the frame designs of class act Enduro and early 60's cafe and scrambler construction.
The Bonza frame integrates a unique jackshaft design that has become an amazing modularizing platform for our customizing our bikes. Multiple motor system and final drive configurations can be fitted easily, while also creating a slackless drivetrain setup. The suspension pivot mounts to the rear swing arm concentrically leading there to be consistent tension of the drive chain or belt across it movement.

QS165 5-8kw
Motor
We chose to standardize around the QS motor standard because it is a wicked powerful and compact motor which allows us the best pathway to upgrade to a number of different motor systems if upgrading is something you like to do to your bike.

Fardriver ND72680
Controller
FARDRIVER ND72680 is a High Power Electric Motorcycle Controller
Programmable With Bluetooth For 4-6KW QSMotor
FarDriver 680A sine wave type controller, with self-learning function. Generally, it matches well with QS Motors and makes for a robust and easy to tune platform. You can really learn a lot about these bikes by taking a peek under the hood and getting your hands on the Bluetooth app to be able to adjust and dial in your ideal parameters for the way you ride. That being said if you prefer there are a whole host of other controller manufacturers that are compatible with the bonza.

Primary Belt / 420 Chain
Drivetrain
Our drivetrain consists of a primary Gates carbon belt running from the motor to the jackshaft transferring the power to a 420 chain to the rear sprocket with a 1:8.55 Final dear reduction. putting that power to work and making a quiet, low maintenance drive system that offers the same benefits and upgradability that we have built into every feature of the Bonza.
See our drivetrain collection here.

Hydraulic disk brakes
Brakes
Like the other components on the bonza we want to install the most reliable components on our bike and give you the option to upgrade as you see fit. For our builds we have been really loving the performance of the SRAM Maven Brakes. We have been using the SLV model brakes with an additional inline brake cutoff sensor and it has been showing excellent performance and long term durability.
Here are the brake components we have available.

Fast Ace ALX13RC forks / Egoboost shocks.
Suspension
We are using the FASTACE ALX13RC forks on the bonza, chosen for their excellent performance and reputation for serviceability. For the rear shocks we are rocking some 160MM EgoBoost progressive rate shocks on the back.
See our suspension options and choose the ones for how you ride.
