The newest riding club tailored specificity for the fast electric moto scene in Eugene and Springfield. We have been going on rides and the topic of coordinating more rides has come up so Turner Motorbikes will facilitate more group rides and events for our small community. We want to open up more opportunities to engage with advocacy at a local and regional level.
High speed emoto class electric bikes straddle a confusing hodgepodge of mixed regulation and subject to harassment from many sides, we are not Cyclists nor Bikers nor Drivers. Not permitted in many locations to be on the road or bike lane or sidewalk.
Called A Moped in some states, Motor driven cycle, or ebike the cat is out of the bag. Electric motorbike riders demand performance and reliability on par with the motorcycle but with the ease of use of an ebike, reduced maintenance, customization etc.
The deal is we don't fit in anywhere and I kinda don't want the ambiguity to go away
These are the wild west days when a technology if now come of age and progressed to be available for ordinary dorks to get their hands on and rips down open lanes and through narrow singletracks, across open fields and ride free.
